Racing Start and Format

OVAL: 5 laps with 4-6 boats to form a heat. Boats race an oval clockwise course laid with bouys. !00m straights and 8m radius corners which equates to 250M per lap. 1.5Kms per race.

Starts: Each race has a 2 minute mill period during which you can start and launch your boat with assistance from your pit crew, after which a countdown commences where you have 30 seconds line up to a running start from the start bouy when a horn will sound. The idea is to have your boat traveling full throttle as the horn sounds, crossing the start marker ahead of the others. First to complete the 5 laps could win the race, although penalties for bouy cuts are accumulative and can eat into your final tally of points.
